GN Rope Fittings is a leading manufacturer of forged offshore mooring accessories. Our forged products are manufactured from specially made steel from European steel makers. All our forged products are made in our factory at Nieuwkoop in the Netherlands. Our high technology forging methods ensure premium product quality and short delivery times. GN Rope Fittings is approved by DNV, ABS and Bureau Veritas for grade 4 mooring chain accessories.

Our CNC milling and turning machines coupled with our CAD/CAM program ensure we can guarantee a high quality machined product. GN Rope Fittings does his own engineering, 3D modeling in Solid Edge and can also make the actual designed product in-house. All this combined allows GN Rope Fittings to help its customers to find new products and solutions for their requirements.

To finish our forged and machined products, we offer in-house proof load testing on our test machines with a maximum capacity of 3000 tons. After proof load testing, the product can be MPI and US inspected. Mechanical test specimens will be cut from a finished product, which guarantees a 100% match between certificate and products. All these tests can be witnessed by classification bureaus or customers on request.

Our forged products are manufactured from high alloy steels and need to be quenched and tempered after forging. Our heat treatment procedures are updated to comply with the latest requirements of classification guidelines. Our markings on the products and documentation provide full traceability during production. Heat treatment records for every batch are available on request.
